KINBUILT® was created in 2016 by its founder and new dad, Derek Silverio who recognized the need for a modern, family-focused alternative to the generic diaper bag. Derek is an industrial designer with over 15 years of product design experience in consumer products; electronics, video game accessories and toys for global brands. He is a native Seattleite from Washington state, but now resides in San Diego, California where he focuses on growing the company and designing new products.
